Webinar summary

The SARS-CoV2, the cause of the SARS-COVID19 pandemic, poses the greatest challenge for a century for global health care and financial systems. It took only 4 weeks from the initial awareness report on 31st December 2019 about a new viral pneumonia for the World Health Organization to declare SARS-COVID-19 a Public Health Emergency and a further 6 weeks for this to be declared a global pandemic.

This webinar will consider progress in developing diagnostic tests and challenges in use of digital solutions to manage and to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 Horizon Scanning is a European initiative bringing together expert collaborations to support regulatory processes aimed at reliable diagnostic tests and digital solutions. This initiative involves working with key academic disciplines, industries, consultants, HTA organizations and governments. These issues are highly relevant for health-professional, health industry and health policy audiences in all regions of the world.
